Ron Kaplan, Au.D. (Doctor of Audiology), owner and founder of The Kaplan Hearing Center, received his Master of Science in Audiology from Towson University and his Doctor of Audiology (clinical doctorate) from The Arizona School of Health Sciences. For more than 28 years, Dr. Kaplan has diagnosed and treated hearing impairments, concentrating on the individual needs of each of his patients. His audiology specialties include the evaluation and treatment of hearing loss and balance disorders. His interest in digital hearing aid technology dates back to the mid 1980's at which time he was involved with the first company to manufacture and market a true digital hearing instrument. Presently, Dr. Kaplan serves on the Maryland Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and Speech and Language Pathologists where he works tirelessly to promote the integrity of his chosen profession. He sees patients at The Kaplan Hearing Center's Columbia office and at several senior living facilities in Baltimore and Howard County.

It is rewarding to help improve their lives through better hearing but also to become their friend." Debby Lazas Miller is a board-certified, licensed Doctor of Audiology with over 25 years experience. Dr. Lazasw received both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Audiology at University of Iowa. She received her clinical doctorate in Audiology from Arizona School of Health Sciences. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech and Hearing Association. She has a diverse background with experience in many different aspects of Audiology. She takes pride in continually participating in advanced training so she can provide exemplary skills in diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss. She specializes in the fitting of advanced digital hearing aids and wireless technology. Dr. Lazas practices at our Columbia location.

"My goal is to enhance my patient's lives by improving their interpersonal communication and everyday life experiences." Cheryl Krissoff is an ASHA certified, licensed audiologist and has over 20 years experience. She is a Galludet graduate with a Masters degree in Audiology and received her Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language and Audiotory Pathology at East Carolina University. Her experience includes many years of working in the medical environment along with the history of fitting a vast spectrum of hearing aid technology. Ms. Krissoff works with both the adult and pediatric population but has great affinity for her geriatric patients. She also donates her time and professional services to long-term health care facilities as well as those who are less fortunate. Mrs. Krissoff practices at our Olney location.

Catherine DiSanti, is a board-certified, licensed Doctor of Audiology with 24 years of experience in both diagnostic audiology and hearing aid dispensing. Dr. DiSanti graduated from State University of NY at Fredonia with a Bachelor of Science in Hearing and Speech Sciences and a Masters of Art in Audiology at University of Maryland. She received her clinical doctorate from Arizona School of Health Sciences. Dr. DiSanti specializes in hearing aid counseling and fitting state-of-the-art hearing aid technology in children and adults. Living with hearing loss herself, Dr. DiSanti believes that the sense of hearing provides a primary connection to the world, and wants to minimize the feeling of isolation, embarrassment and detachment a person who has hearing loss can experience. Dr. DiSanti practices at our Columbia location.
